Heading South

Augusta has had a brutal winter, in my humble opinion. So Joe and I are glad to be heading to South America for warmer weather.

This trip was booked through Travels with Alan. It’s a cruise consolidator company. If you think you might like to cruise I recommend signing up for their newsletter. The trip includes two hotel days on either side of a back-to-back cruise on Azamara Quest.

Arrival in Buenos Aires. The Delta gate is a LONG way from immigration.

It was two hours to get through immigration to meet our guide and several others in the group. I’m not much of a “herd mentality” traveler but this deal was too good to pass up. A coach into downtown Buenos Aires to the hotel where we had to wait an hour and a half for the room to be ready.

Notice the horse on the left

Luggage to the room, freshen up and we chose to grab a drink and bite at the bistro across the street.

Cheers!
An appetizer platter to share.

Then an early bedtime. My watch recorded 3 1/2 hours of sleep on the airplane and tomorrow is a 02:00 wake up for a bucket list excursion.

  2. We looked at that one. Keep looking for the right Alan trip, but with living in the DR each winter, our options are limited.
