Cape Town, finally!

We left the hotel promptly at 07:30 so we could get to Table Mountain before the last cable car at 16:00. And we did with 20 minutes to spare.

Lunch on the patio at Grace & Merci in Swellendam

Swellendam is the third oldest town in South Africa (after Cape Town and Stellenbosch), a town with 17,537 inhabitants situated in the Western Cape province. The town has over 50 provincial heritage sites, most of them buildings of Cape Dutch architecture. It was a lovely place to have lunch.

Going up!
News to me.
A clear day with spectacular views
She said yes!
A beautiful vista

About an hour on the mountain. More time would have been nice, but the weather allowed us to go to the top of the mountain. The group was fortunate in that respect.

Happy hour and dinner at the hotel.

Tomorrow’s wake up is 03:00!

One response to “Cape Town, finally!”

  1. I loved Capetown. I had no idea of it’s natural beauty before going there.
