Koh Samui, Thailand

This was a one day visit to an island which is working to become a tourist destination in Thailand. Joe and I chose to visit an elephant sanctuary. For more information on the sanctuary and their work:

First we learned how to make “elephant sushi” . It is coconut, rice and banana folded in a banana leaf and steamed.
Feeding one of the girls!
The girls loved Joe (maybe it was the watermelon)
The girls loved their time in the water. No. That’s not a baby ruth floating.😂

In the evening the World Cruise group (now 194) said goodbye to two of our couples. These couples have to leave in Singapore because of passport issues. Apparently some of the upcoming countries the ship will visit require multiple available passport pages that these folks don’t have. So know before traveling that even though a passport may not have expired it still may not be okay.

Wow! That is sad and kind of amazing at the same time. A filled passport is rare for most. Make sure they are stamping yours in an organized fashion! Continued safe travels.
    ps. The WLLGA misses you!
