My electronic devices crossed the international date line yesterday. And today is another 25 hour day. I think the ship’s clock will cross the international date line tonight. I just turn on the TV in the cabin to determine day and time.
Only one more day of bridge on this segment. I will miss my partner of the last two legs. We have been very compatible, tolerating each other’s mistakes with humor.
Still no word from Azamara on any changes to the itinerary of Segment 8–Dubai to Istanbul. Virgin Voyages was the latest to announce a diversion around Africa. One of the engineer passengers on the ship has calculated that Azamara Onward could make the journey from Mumbai to Istanbul with 3-4 stops around Africa at a reasonable speed. The only problem is there is a segment changeover in Dubai.
Katy leaves LAX this evening to fly to Sydney and then Auckland. I can’t wait to hug her neck Thursday when she joins Joe and me for segment four.
