Bora Bora

Another rainy day. But I couldn’t stay on board. I made two trips to land. One to check out the shops and town. The second to explore further with Carol.

Second time on the island. Unfortunately Bloody Mary’s had decided to close the bar at 3:00 in the afternoon. WTH. No hurricane parties?

The second trip included two adventuresome “taxi” rides. The quotes on taxi are because we paid a local person $5. each way for a ride to Bloody Mary’s. I think if I hadn’t been along the first driver would have taken Carol home with him. And the ride back to the port was in the back of a “safari” truck. “Chalk up” a local experience.

Another itinerary change. The ship will now go to Papeete to dock. We are currently scheduled to leave there Tuesday at 6 pm.

The nemesis

Our next scheduled stop is Aitutaki, Cook Islands. Time will tell.
