Day 6-Puerto Limon, Costa Rica.

Onward was the only ship in the port. Probably a good thing as the docks are rather primitive by today’s standards.

We opted for a private tour with Relax Day Tours. Larry was extremely entertaining.

He claims to speak four languages—English, Spanish, Portuguese and Jamaican. And he is learning Mandarin.

Our stops included the cathedral (rebuilt after a 1991 earthquake), a fruit stand, the sloth sanctuary, a banana plantation, a river boat ride for flora and fauna, a beach and a visit to a supermarket. Varied and interesting.

This bird has a name, I can’t remember, though.
Paprika!
A beautiful beach

Dinner on our own in the main dining room followed by a set of Chill Tunes with Annie Wolfert in The Den. What a beautiful voice!

Early bedtime for our first transit of the Panama Canal.
