I finally figured out how to rent a car from Enterprise in Fort Lauderdale. Apparently Enterprise allows customers to reserve cars at locations that are not staffed. Bizarre. So I took an Uber to the “parent” office, picked up a car and spent several hours picking up “necessary” provisions for six months. Along the way I encountered roosters at WalMart

and I learned that when changing the batteries in an air tag it is necessary to wipe some sort of coating off the battery using alcohol in order for the air tag to work. You are welcome. I picked up some provisions at the Amazon counter at Whole Foods and found single malt scotch and Rivulet at Total Wine. While I was gone Joe claimed our welcome gift which included a lovely bracelet.

After turning the numerous bags over to Azamara ( if anyone asks how many bags there are I will not respond), we attended a lovely gala dinner at the hotel with our fellow world cruisers and officers from the ship.
I am writing this as we await a coach transfer to the ship to begin the odyssey we booked 25 months ago. More to come..
Oh and I think there’s a link to watch the ship’s departure at 18:00 this afternoon:
