Day 3 at Sea-Approaching Islas Malvinas (The Falkland Islands)

Last night we were provided a map and itinerary for the visit to Antarctica. Before that, though, is Port Stanley. Port Stanley has the distinction of being the most missed port by cruise ships. Fingers crossed.

Laundry was the first order of the day. I waited too long and there was a lot after eight days. Fortunately, I was third in line when the laundry room opened at 8:00 AM. Mission accomplished in a little over an hour.

And then it was bridge in the card room. There were five of us to play so we rotated after four hands. A whale sighting by one of the bridge players! Unable to determine the type but exciting, nonetheless. I left after two rounds to work on this blog.

The map of the upcoming three days. Can’t wait!

I’m gathering information from the destination speakers by watching the videos of their talks on the television in the stateroom. This afternoon was history and culture of the Falklands and Penguins!

Felipe Castro

Joe and I attended the 6:30 show. A fabulous performance by Felipe. Sax and flute accompanied by the Quest Band.

A light dinner and back to the room for rest before the excursion tomorrow, assuming the ship is able to drop anchor at Port Stanley.
