Embarkation Day

Azamara Quest

A map of the itinerary

Report time was 9:00 AM for a city tour followed by drop off at the port. When the bus stopped to walk through the Sunday market and go to Ricoleta Cemetery, Joe and I found our way to a sidewalk cafe.

The front of the cafe
The cafe’s interpretation of an American breakfast—a large plate of scrambled eggs and ham, orange juice, toast and apple pie! Oh and the peach marmalade/butter was fabulous!
We were entertained by a lady playing violin and a “street person” who dropped by to boogie.

We were there about three hours and boarded the bus to the cruise terminal. The bus had to wait on the street so that some of the backup could be cleared before the bus unloaded.

Inside the terminal were thousands of people. There were two other 3000+ passenger ships also embarking. It was not smooth. I think it was around 2:30 before we arrived at the stateroom.

Unpacking, muster drill at 5:00 PM, more unpacking and then dinner.

Bedtime. Montevideo tomorrow.
