The day was not what was planned and hoped for. With hundreds leaving the ship, laundry was the first item of business. First at the laundry room and even had the door unlocked by one of the housekeepers. Two loads of laundry. Finished. Hung. Dressed and off to Copenhagen.
Unfortunately not to be. The Security team said no one was allowed off the ship. Odd. So to Guest Services. The Danish immigration officer had left the ship and would return at 11:30. So no one could leave the ship until the officer’s return. Angry? You betcha. Letters had been sent detailing the immigration procedure the evening before. Apparently early in the morning there was a general announcement regarding the procedure change. The announcement was not broadcast in the stateroom so it was missed.
Headed to Windows Cafe hoping to get a cup of coffee. About 20 minutes later the Concierge came in search of Joe and Marianne. There were five escorted to the immigration area in the terminal. A long discussion ensued between the Documentation Officer, Guest Relations Manager and the immigration dudes. The immigration dudes stood their ground until one of the Azamara folks asked them to call their superiors. Well what do you know. The five were allowed through.
Off to the HOHO bus stop. After waiting an hour, checking the app and watching busses skip the stop, along with calling the bus company, back to the ship it was. So much for seeing Copenhagen.

To Windows Cafe to get a table in the outside area. Enjoyed a light lunch and met some of the new arrivals. Signed up for the Spa Drawing.
The Muster Drill was at 3:30, another reason not to wait or seek the HOHO bus earlier. The bus was €30. And one pass of the city was all that time would have allowed. After the muster drill Joe reluctantly went to the Spa Drawing with Marianne. There was a large number of cruisers present for the drawing.
Dinner in Discoveries with Bob and Karrie. Joe has to finish his book by tomorrow when the library takes it back. He has been catching up on Tom Clancy. Clear and Present Danger is the current read.
