Sea Day

The overnight seas were rough again, but no “banging” this time. The call to Guest Services the previous night resulted in apology calls from the Concierge and our Butler, along with a bottle of wine from Ngawhira, the Hotel Director.

Sleeping in was the order of the day. The Norwegian/North Sea was still “rearing its ugly head,” and there was no reason to move. A movie and a couple of the lectures from visiting scholars were the agenda.

The Azamara Circle Top Tier Breakfast Event and the Back-to-Back meeting were missed. But the ship was doing some serious rocking and rolling.

It was 24 hours since food had been consumed. The Azamara Circle Cocktail Party & Top Cruiser Loyalty Event was on the agenda. Ginger ale was the drink of the day. Our friend Toni was the number two top cruiser with 480 nights. Wow!

Dinner in Discoveries Restaurant followed. The maitre d’ asked if a shared table was okay. Of course. Dinner with two other couples from Australia and New Jersey and a single from Pinehurst, NC, was enjoyable.

The evening performer in the Cabaret was a rerun and the seas were rough. Off to bed!
