June 18 and 19

Tuesday was a sea day. A very chilly sea day. I read and spent a couple hours in the afternoon packing. 😔

Happy hour was filled with the loyalty party. All those recognized are world cruisers. 500+ nights doesn’t seem possible.

Cocktails in the Atlas Bar with the World Cruisers and Grand Voyagers was next on the agenda. The Grand Voyagers joined Onward in Sydney in March and will also debark in Southampton.

Captain Carl. This was his birthday eve.

The group then moved to Discoveries for dinner. I had the distinct privilege of sitting next to the World Cruise host Lee. A delightful evening.

Wednesday morning began with immigration for the UK. No passport stamp, though. The officer said he is not allowed to stamp US passports.

I took advantage of my last opportunity for breakfast in Aqualina. A beautiful view overlooking Guernsey. I forgot to take pictures.

A very busy day packing. Also attempting contact with a car dealer in Augusta. And making arrangements for shipping a few bags. There are too many bags for the two of us to wrangle. I had hoped to go ashore and walk around but I wasn’t able.

Finally the bags are in the hallway. Dinner in Discoveries with four World Cruisers. Lots of champagne and wine from private stashes, along with reminiscing.

My final beautiful dessert.

To the airport hotel tomorrow. 😢
