A sea day! I didn’t sleep well so I skipped aqua aerobics in favor of sleep. But I forgot that it is Monday. And Monday at 10:00 is crew drill! Never mind.
Lunch was a choice of Elegant High Tea or The Patio. I enjoyed lunch at the Patio with Peggy, one of the bridge players. Peggy is a widowed serial cruiser. She plays bridge, so we have known each other since the world cruise began. No children, so she cruises. She will leave the ship in Barcelona, go home and return for back-to-back cruises in Southampton eleven days later. She became a Life Master in bridge in 1999, but no longer plays competitively.
Bridge in the afternoon, and the back-to-back meeting for ALL on the ship. There will be an increase of 400+ people on the next segment. Our private ship is almost gone. What a treat it has been, though. The crew has worked hard to make the transit around Africa unique and interesting.
Dinner in the main dining room and an early bedtime. Tomorrow is Corfu. This will be my first time in Greece.
