Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands

Terra firma at last following nine days at sea. And so seven of us went to play golf. This is the oldest course in Spain.

The first golf course in Spain
My new friend Tamara. I noticed her walking to the practice area and her golf bag said “Young Harris.” I asked her if she played golf there (I am a master of the obvious). She said yes. I told her I live in Augusta. She couldn’t believe anyone had ever heard of Young Harris. So we exchanged contact info. Her team played in the Valspar at Forest Hills this past March. I told her if they play again I would come and watch.
My foursome—Denise, Candy and Toni
A bit windy…
The views were spectacular. This is from #10 green.

I was very tired after golf and I’m sorry I missed a special show by two of the cast members—Annie an Amanda.

Tomorrow—another day at sea! One of my friends who is following this blog remarked that she wouldn’t do a world cruise because of all the sea days. Originally there were only 50 or so sea days but that changed when the ship was unable to transit the Red Sea and Suez Canal. 30+ days at sea has been a challenge. But I I have read two books and I think I’m a better bridge player as a result. Besides, it didn’t cost anything as Azamara gave us future cruise credit equivalent to what was paid for segments eight and nine.
