This photo was taken from the ship last night by Greg Redfern, the Space Guy. Greg joined the ship just for the Africa transit and has been providing wonderful lectures and lessons on astronomy from Deck 11. Pretty remarkable to photograph the current phenomenon from the southern hemisphere.

Aqua aerobics and bridge interspersed with a BBQ lunch on the pool deck. The officers and crew keep the guests guessing about meal locations.

Dinner was a wonderful surprise. A Progressive Dinner. One of the many unique opportunities given by the officers and crew.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in The Den followed by appetizers and a show featuring the cultural ambassadors from Namibia.

The Den
Into The Cabaret for appetizers
Safari Lodge Bites in The Cabaret
A couple of the officers joined the cultural entertainment.
And then the best surprise, especially for me with my food service background. A trip through the galley.
Pictures of the menu items. Very important for delivering a consistent product.
Lots of fresh garlic!
Two of the pastry chefs and their creations.
A display of bakery creations.
A selection of the seafood
Assorted sausages and meats
To the Veranda for Oriental Salad and Ancient Chinese Soup

Joe and I skipped the main course in Prime C and Aqualina (the two specialty restaurants).

But we didn’t skip dessert in The Living Room! Noir Chocolate Indulgence.
And then it was time to party!!!
