A leisurely day. Aqua aerobics and bridge. Dinner in Discoveries Restaurant.

Our location Thursday afternoon. Five more sea days.
A beautiful sunset Thursday evening

A wonderful show by Amanda Paulson in the evening. The them was a tribute to ABBA.

Friday, May 17

Another leisurely day at sea with the usual aqua aerobics. I skipped bridge(see below). As of noon the ship is 19 minutes north of the equator which was passed around 10 am with no fanfare. And 7 degrees west of the Greenwich meridian. Since Fort Lauderdale the World Cruise has traveled 32640 nautical miles.

The afternoon highlight was a “Bubbles and Bitch” get together in the Living Room. As the name implies, sparkling wine was served and it was women only. Oh and the tales that were told…let me just say that the women of the world cruise are a fascinating group of people.

I initiated a Fantasy Golf group on the ship for the PGA Championship. Eight people are participating. Ten dollars each. And the time difference is only six hours. No way to watch on television. Hoping to catch the radio broadcast on the app.

May 18-Day 133

The highlight of the day was my conversation with Katy to wish her a Happy Birthday. I won’t tell her age, because then I am too old, but her milestone the past year was the need for reading glasses!

Two of the players I chose in Fantasy golf missed the cut. The PGA of America doesn’t allow for replacements like Masters fantasy does. I don’t like that.

The ship has traveled 2311 nautical miles since Walvis Bay, Namibia, 1517 to go to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. 33058 nautical miles since Fort Lauderdale. The Atlantic Ocean is 4700 meters deep at noon. Clocks will go back one hour tonight. The 17th or 18th time change. I have lost track.
