In the Arabian Sea

My henna is still looking good. Joe asked again, “how long does that last?”
The pastry department consistently produces artful food.

I rejoined American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) so I could keep the Master Points I have earned. I earned 2.35 from Fort Lauderdale to Sidney with two partners, 2.69 from Sidney to Singapore with two partners and 2.27 from Singapore to Oman with one partner. Whoop whoop!

Azamara had really done a fabulous job with the guest performers on the World Cruise. Currently one of the guest performers is Julian Smith, a soprano saxophone artist whose career received a boost on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009. There have been artists from all the musical disciplines—classical piano, opera, Broadway musical performers, instrumentalists, as well as magicians, a ventriloquist, comedians and local “Destination Immersion” performers. A variety of talented people. I haven’t attended all the performances but they are recorded and I have watched some on the television in my room.

Special interest speakers are also a wonderful addition. Topics include local wildlife, cultures, and religion( a Catholic priest joined the cruise for the Easter segment and a Rabbi for part of Passover). My schedule of bridge lessons and games usually prevents me from attending the actual lecture but I have watched several recorded sessions.

Next up the Arabian peninsula and Arabian Gulf.
