The 194 world cruisers were notified that the ship will not be transiting the Red Sea and Suez Canal. Instead the ship will leave Dubai and travel around Africa for 34 days with minimal stops. Options have been offered which are very generous. Joe and I have opted to stay on the ship in exchange for a future cruise credit equal to the value of the two segments being cancelled. There is the possibility of an overland tour in South Africa, but nothing is final yet.
Jay and Carrie planned to join us in Istanbul. Unfortunately that was one of the segments cancelled. Hopefully they will be able to “lift and shift” their cruise and join us from Venice to Barcelona.
