Dunedin

Dunedin, located on the southeastern coast of New Zealand’s South Island, is a city known for its rich Scottish heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and vibrant cultural scene.

Joe and I hopped on the Vivienne J. for a wildlife tour in the bay where Dunedin and Port Chalmers are located.

We sailed on the Vivienne J. Our hosts were Nigel and Mark.

And at the mouth of the bay there were the albatross.

They clustered around the boat. No doubt thought we were a fishing vessel with scraps to toss overboard.
Gorgeous!
Seals and pups on the rocks
Lots to see in this little corner of the world.
A beautiful lighthouse on the point.

Joe and I headed to Dunedin for a short while. He bought some single malt scotch and I found a couple of merino wool goodies. Dunedin has a beautiful train station.

Up next is Milford Sound before we travel across the Tasman Sea.
