Fakarava

A beautiful atoll in French Polynesia.

Clearing immigration was lengthy so we weren’t able to tender ashore until 10:30. The locals were welcoming. There was a dance and the opportunity to make headdresses and leis. I enjoyed some coconut milk and we walked to the Pacific side of the atoll.

Not a great selfie but I couldn’t see the phone with the glare.
Local gentlemen splitting coconuts for the visitors.
I have no idea what the sign says. 😂
We were walking toward the swimming beach and Joe saw a sign that said “Bar.” We didn’t get to the swimming hole after I lugged my snorkel gear. We met some lovely folks from Denver, though.
The Onward from Fakarava

Back onboard for the last sanctioned bridge game of this segment. My partner and I did not place yesterday or today. There’s always next segment.
