Met with a group of nine other world cruisers interested in playing golf along the way. Making definite plans for Mo’orea, French Polynesia, and Sydney. Looking at NZ, Tasmania and Dubai. Any suggestions for coastal areas of Thailand or Vietnam?
The World Cruise has allowed Joe and me to achieve a higher “status” with Azamara. So we took advantage of the opportunity to book a nine-day Transatlantic cruise from Lisbon to Boston in October using the six free days we were given. Here’s a link if you would like to join us:

The cruise is on Azamara Journey leaving Lisbon on October 3. Book with Costco travel and with an Executive membership, using the Costco Citi card there’s five percent back (2% Exec and 3% Citi card) and a bonus shop card!
For the bridge players, Azamara usually has a bridge instructor on board for sailings with five or more sea days. So ACBL sanctioned games would be available. Food for thought…
Other than that, the usual sea day routine exists. My partner and I placed first in bridge on Monday. More master points!
Dinner in the main dining room was with Rose and Phil. They are twenty-somethings on the World Cruise with her Dad. Rose and Phil live in England but are seeking to relocate to New Zealand or Australia. So this is part fact finding for them.
More bridge on Tuesday. The last sea day on this leg. So that means no cumulative trivia, bridge lessons or competitive bridge until we leave Papeete on the next leg. Dinner and n the specialty steak house restaurant. The chateaubriand was heavenly.
Tomorrow will be an AzAmazing Day in Fakarava, French Polynesia. I’m not sure exactly what constitutes an AzAmazing Day, but I will let you know.
