Easter Island Day 2

Joe and I chose to stay on the ship. We didn’t have a tour scheduled, all aboard was scheduled for 12:30 and since we were “up late” partying at White Night, sleeping late was in order. The highlight of the morning was a visit.

The girls stayed for 20 minutes or so, talking to the crew on the tender platform and waving at passengers on the ship. If any rowing coaches are reading this, they may choose to consider recruiting at Easter Island. Rowing is in their blood. It’s how their ancestors arrived at the island hundreds of years ago.

1100+ nautical miles to Pitcairn Island, the next stop on Sunday. The Captain says the ship needs a speed of 16.7 knots to get there. Two hours will be gained on the clock as we travel.

Time to read the book…
