Joe and I stayed onboard the ship. None of the shore excursions were of interest and getting into the city was a three-step process. Consequently there were plenty of chairs on the pool deck and we read. I’m reading a Mary Kay Andrews book and he is reading a Tom Clancy novel.
Friday evening was White Night. White Night is a dinner and show on the pool deck. Unfortunately the rains came around 4:00 pm and White Night was moved inside. We chose to have dinner in the main dining room. Having previously experienced White Night as planned and as modified for weather, we decided to skip the indoor festivities.
Three days at sea are ahead. This will include crossing the equator. Neither Joe nor I have crossed the equator on a ship so this means more firsts.
