The Odyssey Begins

Joe and I left the house yesterday around 11:00 to begin our odyssey.

There was a lot of trash as a result of my efforts to rid the house of stuff. I didn’t get as much done before I left as I had planned, but progress was made.

The trip to Fort Lauderdale was seamless. Four checked bags and four carry-ons. An almost four hour layover in ATL. I’ve decided I like turning left onto the plane from the jetway to sit in a roomy first class seat! A seamless transfer to the hotel on the beach followed. I was disappointed to push a luggage cart to the room. Whatever happened to the bellman? And no “key” card. Instead a bracelet.

All this in a very pricey hotel. WTH!

I am able to write this because I am sitting outside an Enterprise rental office. The office is unmanned. The phone number on the paper sign in the window has a full mailbox and doesn’t answer texts. The gentleman I spoke with 40 minutes ago said someone from the office that oversees this location would be in touch. Ummm I’m waiting. Been here an hour…

I had plans to go hunting and gathering for sunrises and a few items I ordered from Amazon that await me at the Whole Foods Amazon pick up counter. Stay tuned…
